The optical fiber is placed in the ground wire of the overhead high-voltage transmission line to form a fiber-optic communication network on the transmission line. This structural form has both ground wire and communication functions and is generally called OPGW optical cable.
Since optical fiber has the characteristics of anti-electromagnetic interference and light weight, it can be installed on the top of the transmission line tower without considering the mounting position and electromagnetic corrosion. Therefore, OPGW has the characteristics of high reliability, excellent mechanical properties and low cost. This technology is particularly suitable and economical when laying new ground wires or replacing existing ground wires.
1、Replace the existing ground wire and transform the power optical communication line
2、When building a new overhead power line, plan and design it synchronously with the ground wire
3、Provide protection for the stainless steel optical fiber transmission unit
4、Conduct fault short-circuit current and provide lightning protection
1、The diameter of stainless steel pipe is larger than that of aluminum-clad steel wire and aluminum alloy wire
2、The stainless steel optical fiber unit is located in the center of the stranded layer and is slightly better protected
3、The excess length of optical fiber obtained in the smallest steel pipe (once)
4、The anti-twisting, anti-lateral pressure and anti-stretching performance are slightly poor when single-layer armor is used
5、Operating temperature: -40℃~+80℃
