Optical fiber composite overhead ground wire (OPGW) is an overhead ground wire containing optical fiber, which has multiple functions such as overhead ground wire and optical communication. It is mainly used for 110kV, 220kV, 500kV, 750kV and communication lines of newly built overhead high-voltage power transmission systems. It can also be used to replace the existing ground wire of the old overhead high-voltage power transmission system, add optical communication lines, conduct short-circuit current and provide lightning protection. Special structures can be customized according to user needs.
1. It has the dual functions of ground wire and communication optical cable, eliminating the huge cost of repeated installation and maintenance.
2. It is installed on the top of the power overhead line tower, without considering the best hanging point and electrical corrosion.
3. During the reconstruction of the old line, the outer diameter and tensile unit weight of the optical cable can be better matched than the other ground wire.
4. It has large transmission capacity, high communication quality and good reliability.
5. It has excellent mechanical and electrical properties.
6. It has good safety performance, long service life and is not easily damaged by destructive gunfire.
