All-dielectric self-supporting ADSS (All Dielectric Self Supporting) optical cables provide fast and economical transmission channels for power communication systems due to their unique structure,good insulation, high temperature resistance,and high tensile strength. Generally speaking, ADSS optical cable is cheaper than optical fiber composite ground cable OPGW (OPtical fiber composite ground wh) in many applications,and it is easier to install. It is advisable to use power lines or towers near them to erect ADSS optical cables,and even in some places it is necessary to use ADSS optical cables. The main uses of ADSS optical cables are:
(1) Use it as the incoming and outgoing optical cable of the OPGW system relay station. Based on its safety attributes,it can well solve the power isolation problem when introducing and outgoing the relay station.
(2) Use it as a transmission cable for optical fiber communication systems in high-voltage (110kV-220kV) power networks. In particular,many places conveniently make use of it when renovating old communication lines.
(3) Use it for optical fiber communication systems in 6kV~35kV~180kV distribution networks.
